Husqvarna recalls grass and hedge trimmers due to fire hazard

About 19,500 Husqvarna grass trimmers and 6,500 Husqvarna hedge trimmers are recalled. Fuel can leak from the rubber spacer holding the fuel lines in the fuel tank, posing a fire hazard. Husqvarna has received seven reports of fuel leaking. No injuries have been reported.

Ceiling fans recalled by Westinghouse Lighting due to shock and fire hazards

About 7,000 fans are recalled. The two 60-watt light bulbs included with the ceiling fans exceed the fan’s maximum wattage, which can cause the ceiling fans to overheat or fail. This poses fire and shock hazards to consumers.

Go!Control Panels alarm module recalled due to fire and burn hazard

About 40,000 GSM Radio Modules Used in Go!Control Panels are recalled. The company is aware of 22 reports of the product overheating, including three reports of minor smoke, heat or fire damage to the wall where the control panel was mounted. There have been no reports of injuries.

Gerber voluntarily withdraws a specific batch of infant formula

Gerber Products Company is proactively retrieving and offering a replacement to consumers who purchased Gerber Good Start Gentle powdered infant formula 23.2 ounce plastic package from batch GXP1684 expiration date of March 5, 2013.

The product poses no health or safety risk. However, this product might have an off-odor noticeable to some consumers. In some cases spit-up and other gastrointestinal complaints have been reported.

Kelty Swivel Deluxe

Kelty recalls 3,000 jogging strollers due to fall and injury hazards

About 3,000 Kelty Single and Double Jogging Strollers are recalled. The front wheel can come loose during use and cause the stroller to tip over, posing a fall and injury hazard to children in the stroller and adults pushing the stroller. There have been three reported incidents with these recalled strollers, including cuts, scrapes and fractured bones to adults, and minor cuts and scrapes to children.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. (“McNeil”), is voluntarily recalling, at the wholesale and retail levels, seven lots, approximately 574,000 bottles, of Infants’ TYLENOL Oral Suspension, 1 oz. Grape distributed nationwide in the United States (see full product list below). Infants’ TYLENOL is an over-the-counter (OTC) product indicated as a pain reliever/fever reducer.

About 3,000 STIHL chainsaws are recalled. The flywheel on the chain saw can crack causing parts of the flywheel to separate and strike users or bystanders, posing a risk of injury.

Huge recall of Tassimo coffee makers and T Discs due to burn hazard

About 835,000 units in the United States and an additional 900,000 in Canada are recalled. There have been 37 reports of second-degree burn injuries. About 2.1 million Kraft T Disc packages in the United States and an additional 1.9 million in Canada are also recalled.

Bumbleride recalls Indie & Indie Twin Strollers due to fall hazard

Bumbleride is recalling about 28,000 (an additional 2,700 were sold in Canada) Indie and Indie Twin Strollers. The front wheel can break at the axle hub, causing the stroller to tip and posing a fall hazard. There have been 36 incidents of the front wheel cracking, including two reports of the stroller tipping over resulting in minor injuries.

Recalled Pfizer birth control pills could lead to unintended pregnancy

As a result of this packaging error, the daily regimen for these oral contraceptives may be incorrect and could leave women without adequate contraception, and at risk for unintended pregnancy. These packaging defects do not pose any immediate health risks. However, consumers exposed to affected packaging should begin using a non-hormonal form of contraception immediately. Patients who have the affected product (lot numbers are provided below) should notify their physician and return the product to the pharmacy.

Aunt Jemima frozen pancakes recalled due to undeclared soy protein

The voluntary recall was initiated after the Company discovered there may have been a potential cross-contact with product that contained soy protein being produced on the same equipment. There have been no reports of illness as a result of this incident. The Food and Drug Administration has been made aware of this recall.
