Hawai‘i Electric Light Company announces the completion of transmission line upgrades along sections of Highway 190 from just south of Pu‘u Wa‘awa‘a (23-mile marker) to Makalei Golf Course (32-mile marker).

The project involved upgrading about nine miles of transmission lines and equipment to improve system reliability and was completed ahead of schedule.

Hawai‘i Electric Light thanks the community for their patience and understanding while the work was being completed.
