Fire/rescue crews responded to a 4:04 a.m. alarm Wednesday (Oct 26) to Kamaili Road in lower Puna for a structure fire.
Crews arrived to find a 20-by-20 foot structure engulfed in flames.
Firefighters had the blaze under control by 4:45 a.m. and the fire was reported to be out at 5:30 a.m.
There was nobody home during the fire, the structure was destroyed with an estimated loss of $6,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
