Applications available for free CPR and AED training/devices

Hilo Medical Center Foundation’s Be a Lifesaver Hawaii Program is pleased to Eunice Muramoto announce our Partnership with Big Island Toyota Hilo and Kona.

As part of the Be a Lifesaver Hawai’i campaign effort, twenty (20) Automated External Defibrillators (AEDS) will be donated by Big Island Toyota to Hawaii Island Non-profit organizations; each recipient organization will receive FREE life Saving by-stander chest compression only CPR and AED Training at the Non-profit’s facility as part of the AED donation. Deadline for submitting applications/nominations is close of business on October 15, 2016.

Winning Non-Profits will be notified no later than October 20, 2016 of their selection by the Be a Lifesaver Hawal’i committee and will be invited to attend a “Special AED Presentation” at the Big Island Toyota Main Showroom in Hilo on October 27, 2016.

The next FREE community training will be at Hilo Medical Center in the ground floor conference rooms on Saturday, October 29th from 9:30 to 11 a.m. to learn this life saving technique and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
