Tropical Storm Darby continues towards Hawaii

The Central Pacific Hurricane Center reports Tropical Storm Darby moving towards Hawaii through the Central Pacific.

As of 11 p.m. HST Wednesday (July 20) the center of Darby was located about 735 miles (1,185 km) east of Hilo moving west-southwest near 14 mph (22 km/h). Maximum sustained winds are 65 mph (100 km/h). Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 110 miles (175 km) from the center.

Little change in strength is forecast for the next 48 hours.
