UPDATED (9:45 a.m. on 6/22/2016)

Hawaiian Telcom implemented a routing solution that reduced the volume of voice calls impacted. However, there is still some intermittent impact to voice calls statewide. The 911 system is not down but calls to 911 may be affected as voice calls statewide are intermittently impacted. An update will be provided when more information becomes available.

MEDIA RELEASE

Hawaiian Telcom experienced a technical issue that intermittently impacted voice calls statewide, including calls to 911 from approximately 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. this morning. During this time, some voice calls did not go through and callers may have heard a fast busy or an “All circuits are busy” message. Internet and data services were not affected. Technical teams are engaged and monitoring the situation.

Customers who continue to experience intermittent issues with voice calls can contact Hawaiian Telcom online at hawaiiantel.com/Support and select “Chat with Us” or “Submit Support Request” or call 643-6111.

Hawaiian Telcom apologizes for the issue and thanks the public for their patience.
