C-17 Globemaster III flying over Hilo Bay.

POHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, Hawaii – Individuals in surrounding communities, may notice an increase in noise, May 10 and 12, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., due to an Air Force C-17, participating in training, here.

Aircraft times are subject to change as the training is contingent on weather that could impact visibility or safety.

The military services in Hawaii appreciate the community’s understanding and continued support of local service members and families. While sometimes loud, the sounds of training represent how the military ensures the nation’s service members are ready to accomplish the mission and return home safely.
