Police have located a Kona man wanted on a warrant for contempt of court

Hawaiʻi Island police have located 44-year-old James Forrest of Kailua-Kona who was wanted on a bench warrant and for questioning in another investigation.

He turned himself in to police Monday (March 7) at 6 p.m. and was arrested and charged with contempt of court.

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 44-year-old Kona man wanted on a bench warrant for contempt of court.

James Forrest of Kailua-Kona is also wanted for questioning in an abuse and sexual assault investigation. He is described as 5-foot-7, 180 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
