Police locate a Hilo woman who was reported missing

Hawaiʻi Island police have located 51-year-old Roxann Leilani Uaiwa of Hilo, who was reported missing.

She was found in good health in Puna on Tuesday afternoon (October 6).

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 51-year-old Hilo woman who was reported missing.

Roxann Leilani Uaiwa was last seen in Hilo on Sunday (October 4). She is described as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, 140 pounds with green eyes and long black hair.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
