Police locate a Hilo man reported missing

Hawaiʻi Island police have located 58-year-old William G. Quintana of Hilo, who was reported missing.

He was found unharmed Tuesday afternoon (August 11) in Hilo.

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 58-year-old Hilo man who was reported missing.

William G. Quintana was last seen Thursday (August 6) in Hilo. He may have gone to Kona.

He is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-11, 158 ponds with white hair and a goatee. He was last seen with an oxygen tank.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
