Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have fallen 8.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.09/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii. This compares with the national average that has fallen 12.8 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.47/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high surf warning for east facing shores of Hawaii Island until 6 p.m. Tuesday (Sept 1). Surf along east facing shores is forecast to be in the 12-20 foot range today through Tuesday.

The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (formerly State Civil Defense) has cancelled the monthly test of the statewide outdoor siren warning system scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, 2015. This cancellation is to avoid confusion as Hurricane Ignacio moves by the Hawaiian Islands.
