Police are investigating a supermarket burglary Sunday (May 17)

Hawaiʻi Island police are investigating a burglary at a supermarket Sunday (May 17).

At approximately 1:35 a.m., two males broke into warehouse of a supermarket on the 200 block of Kinoʻole Street and removed alcohol and other beverages.

Their images were recorded on surveillance cameras. They are described as being in their mid teens to early 20s. Both had slim builds and were wearing dark shorts and light “hoodies.”

Police ask anyone with information about their identity or any other information about this case to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
