A two-story wood framed home was destroyed in a Friday afternoon blaze. No injuries were reported.
According to a Fire Department incident repot, crews were alerted at 7:01 p.m. and responded to find the home engulfed with flames.
A neighbor reported hearing an explosion and seeing flames pouring from a second-story window.
Four engines and a medic unit responded and brought the fire under control within 30 minutes, although drivers and neighbors reported seeing thick black smoke for several hours.
Crews were on call for three hours.
Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
