WAIMEA, HAWAI’I — The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands is alerting residents and motorists of a single-lane road closure along Kawaihae Road at the South Kohala Distribution Road intersection beginning Tuesday, Feb. 17 through Thursday, Feb. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility installations.

Goodfellow Bros., Inc. (GBI), the contractor, will be laying conduits along Kawaihae Road as part of construction on the second phase of the Lālāmilo Hawaiian homestead project. Once complete, the Lālāmilo Phase 2A subdivision will be home to 83 Native Hawaiian beneficiaries and their families.
