New board president for Habitat for Humanity West Hawaii

The board of directors of Habitat for Humanity West Hawaii confirmed Steve Machesky, owner and president of Kokua Contracting and Project Management, as its new board president.

Machesky has served as vice president for the past two years, and was the project manager for the very successful ‘Blitz Build’ in 2012, during which five homes were constructed in 10 days.

He brings 30 years experience in residential, commercial and industrial construction management to the affiliate.

Kokua Contracting and Project Management was formed in 2001 specifically to fulfill the needs of the construction industry in Hawaii by engaging in construction management, quality assurance, owner representation, and general contracting.

Its mission is “helping to build a better tomorrow for Hawaii today.”
