Police arrest Mountain View man in connection with June shooting in Eden Roc

Hawaiʻi Police Department detectives have arrested a 22 year old Mountain View man in connection with a shooting that occurred on June 28, 2014, in the Eden Roc subdivision in Mountain View.

Nicholas Stertz, 22-years-old, was arrested Friday (Dec 19) at 10:15 a.m. for Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree. Stertz was subsequently released at 4:20 p.m., pending further investigation.

The incident involved a 30-year-old male victim with apparent gunshot wounds. At the time of this incident, the victim was treated and released from Hilo Medical Center.

Detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section are continuing the investigation.
