Fire caused $200,000 damage Tuesday afternoon to an Alii Drive townhouse, according to the Fire Department.

Crews were alerted at 1:09 p.m. and arrived at Na Hale O Keauhou condominium complex to find the carport and second floor bedroom engulfed.

The blaze was extinguished by 3 p.m. and was contained to a single home in the six-unit townhouse.

The home owner said she parked her car in the carport and began to smell smoke 30 minutes later. She saw the car on fire, got out and called 911.

No injuries were reported.

Red Cross volunteers were dispatched to assist the home owner.
