Big Island lane closures for September 6-12, 2014

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) VICINITY OF KEAAU TO MOUNTAIN VIEW

Alternating single lane closures on Volcano Road (Route 11) in both directions between Milepost Markers 8.6 and 13.4, in the vicinity of Keaau to Mountain View, on Monday, September 8, through Friday, September 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for pavement reconstruction.

2) VICINITY OF VOLCANO TO KAPAPALA RANCH

Alternating single lane closures on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between Milepost Markers 45.6 and 39.5 in the vicinity of Volcano to Kapapala Ranch, Monday, September 8 through Friday, September 12, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, for roadway pavement reconstruction.

— HAWAII BELT ROAD—

1) VICINITY OF LAUPAHOEHOE GULCH

Alternating single lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Milepost Markers 26.0 and 27.0 in the vicinity of Laupahoehoe Gulch, on Monday, September 8, through Friday, September 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadway improvements.

2)VICINITY OF UMAUMA BRIDGE

Alternating lane closures on Umauma Bridge in the vicinity of Hakalau (Route 19, Milepost 16) in both directions over a twenty-four hour period, seven days a week for steel bridge repairs. Travel speed on Umauma Bridge is reduced to 20-mph and vehicles that exceed statutory size-weight limits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon application of their respective oversize-overweight vehicle permits. Maximum width for any vehicle with permit passing over the bridge is 12 feet.

3) VICINITY OF KAAWALII GULCH

Alternating single lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Milepost Markers 27.9 and 29 in the vicinity of Kaawalii Gulch, on Monday, September 8, through Friday, September 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadway improvements.
