Due to unforeseen circumstances the plumbing repairs at Gilbert Carvalho Park is taking longer than anticipated.

The county Department of Parks and Recreation is canceling all activities at Gilbert Carvalho Park for the rest of the week.

The Carvalho Park Summer Fun program will be relocated to the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

Repairs are expected to be completed July 13 with normal operational hours returning Monday, July 14.

The Department of Parks and Recreation apologizes for any inconveniences caused by the emergency closure and thanks the public for its understanding while water service is being restored.
