Dr. Rachel Klein has brought her expertise as a Naturopathic Physician and Chiropractor to the Hilo community.

Klein, a recent honors graduate of the prestigious National University of Health Sciences, was born and raised in Hilo.

Klein is licensed by the state to practice Naturopathic Medicine. She is also a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and is board certified as a Chiropractic Neurologist.

She has established her practice at Klein Natural Health and Wellness Center at 2070 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo.

The wellness center is an expansion of Klein Chiropractic Center, her father’s practice, long-time, noted Hilo chiropractor, Dr. Robert Klein.

“It’s a great fit to be a part of my dad’s well established clinic. The wellness center can now offer a much broader range of health care options to the community,” she said.

Naturopathic Medicine is a system of primary health care focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illness. It is dedicated to nature’s healing powers and is distinguished by principles that underlie and determine its practice.

The six principles of Naturopathic Medicine are: first do no harm, treat the whole person, identify and treat the causes, the healing power of nature, doctor as teacher, and promoting wellness.

Klein is now accepting new patients. She will be serving as primary care practitioner, handling everything from the common cold to thyroid conditions.

Prior to going to the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois, Klein was heavily involved with the Hilo theatre and dance community. She took on roles as performer, director, choreographer and stage manager for groups like the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Hilo Community Players and the Kilauea Drama and Entertainment Network. She was also a swing and tap dance instructor.

“It feels really good to be back home and I’m really looking forward to serving the community and helping individuals achieve optimal health and wellness,” Klein said.
