Public tennis courts at Herbert Shipman Park in Keaau will be closed for maintenance starting Monday, Feb. 3, and reopened on Saturday, Feb. 15.

The temporary closure is needed to clean and pressure wash the two courts’ playing surface.

Additional outdoor courts will remain available for public at other Hawaii County parks, including Lincoln Park and Mohouli Park in Hilo.

The Department of Parks and Recreation apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of Herbert Shipman Park and thanks the public for its patience and understanding while the necessary maintenance is being performed.
