Applications sought for state Forest Stewardship Committee

The Department of Land and Natural Resources is inviting applications from interested persons to become members of an advisory committee for the Forest Stewardship Program.

The Forest Stewardship Advisory Committee (FSAC) will have several open seats in early 2014 and is making applications available for anyone who is interested in applying.

The Forest Stewardship Advisory Committee reviews and recommends for approval all project proposals and management plans for the state’s Forest Stewardship and Forest Legacy Programs.

Ideal candidates are those with significant forestry and/or conservation experience in Hawaii. The Committee meets four times a year in venues throughout Hawaii and appointments are for three years.
