Big Isle football player featured on ESPN2 game

Big Island Kamehameha High School graduate David Kekuewa will be featured in a football game Friday afternoon on ESPN2.

Kekuewa is the starting center for Bowling Green State University (9-3).

He has been a two year starter for BGSU after playing at Western Arizona Junior College.

Kekuewa, at 6’2″ and 311 pounds, anchors the Falcons offensive line.

The Falcons will take on Northern Illinois (12-0) in the Mid-American Championship game at Ford Field in Detroit.

Kick-off is 3 p.m. Friday on ESPN2.

Kekuewa, who is majoring in environmental studies, will have one more game after the MAC Championship as the Falcons are bowl eligible.
