Kilauea Avenue between Pauahi Street and Aupuni Street:

A final layer of asphalt is scheduled to be applied on to Kilauea Avenue between Pauahi Street and Aupuni Street.

During roadwork scheduled between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Work will be completed weather permitted.

The the traffic pattern will be:

* One-lane for Puna bound travel between Pauahi Street and Aupuni Street.

* Motorists traveling in the Hamakua direction on Kilauea Avenue rerouted at Aupuni Street.

* Left turns allowed onto Pauahi from Aupuni Street only during construction hours.

* Left turns permitted onto Kilauea Avenue from Aupuni Street.

* Right turns onto Kilauea Avenue from Aupuni allowed.

* Street parking will be restored after roadwork is completed.

Kilauea Avenue from Pauahi Street to Alenaio Bridge:

Road resurfacing is scheduled along the mauka lane for Monday, Feb. 25 starting from the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin to Kukuau Street and Tuesday, Feb. 26 from Kukuau Street to Osorio Lane.

Construction hours are 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Access to Kukuau Street from Kilauea will be closed during roadwork.

Special duty officers will redirect motorists to Kinoole Street to access Kukuau Street.
