Kona burglary, theft reports (Feb. 8-15)

MEDIA RELEASE

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers Feb. 8-15.

* Burglaries

On 02-08-13, burglary in the area of 76-6000 Alii Drive in North Kona; an iPad was reported stolen.

On 02-08-13, burglary in the area of 73-4300 Hawaii Belt Road in North Kona; 600 square feet of carpet was reported stolen.

On 02-10-13, burglary in the area of 74-4300 Kealakaa St. in North Kona; a victim was assaulted within the residence.

On 02-13-13, burglary in the area of 73-1200 Lihau St. in North Kona; artwork reported stolen.

* Vehicle thefts

On 02-08-13, a 1994 black Jeep Wagoneer was reported stolen in the area of 83-5300 Mamalahoa Highway in South Kona.

On 02-11-13, two mopeds were reported stolen from a carport in the area of 74-800 Ulualoa St. in North Kona.

* Thefts from vehicle

On 02-12-13, two electric saws were reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Ane Keohokalole Highway in North Kona.

On 02-12-13, a laptop was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of 73-1000 Ahulani St. in North Kona.

On 02-14-13, a purse and its contents were reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Kiritina Place in South Kona.
