The county Department of Parks and Recreation has announced the general maintenance schedule for, Ahalanui Park, Isaac Hale Memorial Park, Kahaluu Beach Park and Spencer Park at Ohaiula Beach for calendar year 2013.

These periodic short-term closures are necessary to accomplish larger scale maintenance activities without putting the public at unnecessary risk or inconvenience.

Ahalanui Park is closed 6 a.m.-1 p.m. for general maintenance on the following dates (second Wednesday of the month):

* Feb. 13
* March 13
* April 10
* May 8
* June 12
* July 10
* Aug. 14
* Sept 11
* Oct. 9
* Nov. 13
* Dec. 11

Isaac Hale Beach Park is closed for camping for general maintenance on the following dates (fourth Tuesday of the month, except for December) until 1 p.m. the following day:

*Jan. 22
* Feb. 26
* March 26
* April 23
* May 28
* June 25
* July 23
* Aug. 27
* Sept. 24
* Oct 22
* Nov. 26
* Dec 17 (third Tuesday of the month because of the Christmas holiday)

Kahaluu Beach Park is closed 6-11 a.m. for general maintenance on the following dates (first Tuesday of the month):

*Feb. 5
* March 5
* April 2
* May 7
* June 4
* July 2
* Aug. 6
* Sept. 10 (2nd Tuesday of the month because of the Labor Day holiday)
* Oct. 1
* Nov. 5
* Dec. 3

Spencer Park at Ohaiula Beach is closed for general maintenance on the following dates:

* Jan. 16-17
* Feb. 13-14
* March 6-7
* April 9-10
* May 14-16
* Sept. 10-12
* Oct. 9-10
* Nov. 13-14
* Dec. 11-12
