Fire crews were alerted to a man floating in the ocean Saturday afternoon off OTEC Road and were able to recover the body.

The man – believed to be in his 40s – reportedly went to pick opihi around 9 a.m. and was spotted around 3:30 p.m. floating face down about 100 yards off shore.
