It was hammer time in the small town of Wailea Village as they pounded mochi rice during their 15th annual mochi-tsuki celebration to welcome the New Year.

Located in Halalau on the Hamakua Coast the village was alive with community and visitors enjoying beautiful blue skies, food, performances and the traditional pounding of mochi rice cakes.
