Big Island lane closures for the week of November 26–30, 2012

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY —

1) VICINITY OF MAHUKONA
Alternating single lane closures on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) in both directions between Koko Iki Road and Ala Kahua Drive, in the vicinity of Mahukona, on Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadway resurfacing work.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY —

1) MAKALEI
Alternating single lane closures on Mamalahoa Highway in both directions between Hina Lani Street/North Kona Belt Road and Old Kona Village Road on Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for pavement resurfacing.

— HAWAII BELT ROAD—

1) VICINITY OF KALOPA
Alternating lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Kahawai Road and Hauola Road, in the vicinity of Kalopa, on Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for guardrail installations.

— VOLCANO ROAD —

1) VICINITY OF KEAAU
Lane shifts on Volcano Road (Route 11) in the northbound direction in the vicinity of the Keaau Bypass Road intersection between East Palai Street and Kea’au-Pahoa Road, on Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for roadway reconstruction work.

2) VICINITY OF KULANI ROAD
Alternating single lane closures on Volcano Road (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of Kulani Road between South Pszyk Road and Kukui Camp Road, on Monday, November 26, through Friday, November 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for roadway striping and traffic signal installation work.

MOUNTAIN VIEW

Repairs to North Peck Bridge, the first bridge on Peck Road in Mountain View are scheduled to begin the week of Nov. 26 with completion the week of Dec. 24.

Site Engineering was awarded the contract for $32,000.

During the week of Dec. 3-12, the bridge will close on certain days, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. weather permitting to replace the wooden planks.

The date will be posted in advance of the bridge closure on an electronic message board at the entrance to Peck Rd on Highway 11. This is to provide motorists the opportunity to prepare for the alternate route to Highway 11 via Ihope to North Kulani Road.
