Fire burns abandoned warehouse Thursday morning in Pahala

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 11:57 a.m. alarm Thursday (Feb 16) to Pahala Mill off Mailie Street for a structure fire.

Crews found a 40 foot by 30 foot enclosed section of an abandonded warehouse on fire. Firefighters had the fire under control 10 minutes after arriving on scene and had the fire out by 1:15 p.m.

Burned in the fire was a third of the enclosed section, paper waste on the floor, the area wall, rafters and ceiling. There were no roadblocks or injuries reported in the blaze. There was no dollar amount loss assigned to the damaged abandoned warehouse. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
