What’s open and closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday (Jan 16)

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday (Jan 16), all federal, state and county offices including post offices and libraries will be closed.

Hawaii County transfer stations will be open along with the West Hawaii and Hilo landfills. HI-5 redemption center hours may vary.

Public and private schools, as well as the UH-Hilo will be closed.

Financial institutions may be open, closed or have holiday hours, check with your branch for schedules.
