POHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, Hawaii-Bird hunting will be allowed Dec.10-11 at Pohakuloa Training Area in training areas 1-4. Temporary hunting passes and maps will be issued at designated check-in/check-out stations beginning at 5 a.m. and check-out no later than 7 p.m. on both days.
The Kilohana hunter check-in/check-out station has been relocated between mile marker 43 and 44 on Saddle Road. The Huluhulu hunter check-in/check-out station is located across from the Mauna Kea and Saddle Road junction, near mile marker 28.
Access to training areas 1-4 will be at mile markers 30.5 and 34. Hunters will also use the same mile markers to exit and check-out at one of the two hunter check-in/check-out stations.
