Gala Evening to Benefit Habitat for Humanity and Daughters of Hawaii
Historic Kailua Village – Kick off the Christmas holiday season at the 2nd Annual Christmas at Hulihe’e Palace on Saturday, December 3, 2011. Gates open at 6PM. Tickets for this gala event are $100 per person and limited special reserved tables are also available.
There will be a royal holiday dinner, live and silent auction, entertainment by the Kealakehe Intermediate School Chorus and Ukulele Ensemble under the directions of Gloria Juan-Tapaatoutai, and the legendary Ho’okena. Ho’okena is a mainstay on the island music scene and has won numerous Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. Their album, Nani Mau Loa – Everlasting Beauty, was selected for a Grammy nomination for Best Hawaiian Album in 2010.
Proceed from the evening benefit will help raise important monies to build simple, decent, and affordable homes for West Hawaii families with limited income, and help with on-going restoration and preservation efforts at Hulihe’e Palace.
