Green schedules island ‘talk stories’

Sen. Josh Green will hold a series of Talk Story events around West Hawaii over the next several months.

Come say hello and share ideas, hopes and concerns for making life even better on the Big Island and across the state.

* Tuesday, Nov. 8
Hawaii State Capitol Room 229, 10 a.m. – noon
Senate Health Committee Hearing to address critical medication shortages in Hawaii.

* Friday, Nov. 11
Hamakua Mac Nut Parking Lot, Kawaihae, 6 – 8 p.m.
Talk Story addressing community concerns, including ocean safety and use of ocean resources.

* Wednesday, Dec. 7
Tutu’s House, Waimea, 5 – 7 p.m.
Talk Story addressing healthcare and physician shortages in Hawaii. Sponsored by the Hawaii Island Healthcare Alliance

* Thursday, Dec. 22
King Kamehameha Hotel, 6 – 8 p.m.
Talk Story about what matters most to you and your Ohana.

* Monday, Jan. 9
Kona Community Hospital, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Green will give the keynote speech on healthcare transformation in America and what it means to West Hawaii. Sponsored by the Kona Community Hospital Auxillary

* Tuesday, Jan. 10
Old Kona Airport Pavillion (Makaeo), 6 – 8 p.m.
Talk Story addressing the upcoming legislative session and priorities for West Hawaii. Sponsored by Kona Town Hall Meeting
