Beachgoers should use caution as high surf can produce rip currents and large shore breaks.

The surf can cause problems for boats entering and exiting harbors as largers sets may break across channel entrances and cause surges inside harbors. Boaters should use caution when entering or leaving ports and when mooring or launching vessels inside a harbor facing South.
