Parker students present senior voice recital (May 13)

MEDIA RELEASE

Parker School senior Zen Kuriyama, lyric baritone, will be presenting his Senior Voice Recital 6 p.m. Friday, May 13 at the Parker School Theatre.

Accompanying him on the piano is local pianist and fellow Parker School student, Paul Gregg. The recital will also feature Marena Dunnington, soprano, Mary Kamitaki, mezzo-soprano, and pianist Everett Knowles.

The recital will comprise of operatic arias, art songs, and songs from the Broadway Musical Theatre.

The recital is the culmination of Kuriyama’s year-long Vocal Arts Independent Study.

Ann Renick, Director of Admissions at Parker School and a minted musical theatre performer, will supervise the performance, with Beth Dunnington assisting with stage direction.

Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

In the fall, Kuriyama will attend Manhattanville College in New York to study musical theatre.
