Military convoys on Saddle Road Saturday and Sunday mornings (April 2-3), expect traffic delays

Traffic delays on Saddle Road from West Hawaii

POHAKULOA TRAINING AREA (PTA), Hawaii—Oahu-based military units will convoy from Kawaihae Harbor to Pohakuloa Training Area, April 2, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., via Akoni Pule-Queen Kaahumanu, Waikoloa Road, and Mamalahoa Saddle Road Corridor.

The PTA Department of Army police are working closely with local authorities and military units to coordinate these activities. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.

Traffic delays on Saddle Road from East Hawaii

POHAKULOA TRAINING AREA (PTA), Hawaii—Hawaii-based military units will convoy from Keaukaha Military Reserve (KMR)to Pohakuloa Training Area, April 2, between 6-9 a.m, via Hilo Airport Road, Kanoelehua Avenue, Highway 11, West Puainako Street, Komohana Avenue, Puainako Extention Route 2000, and Saddle Road Hwy 200.

On April 3, between 8-11 a.m, the Hawaii Army Reserve units will convoy on the same routes from PTA, returning to the KMR.

The PTA Department of Army police are working closely with local authorities and military units to coordinate these activities. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.
