The Queen Kaahumanu Highway Widening Phase 2 project slated to begin as early as April 2011 and take will about 21 months to complete according to the project’s Spring newsletter. The 5.2 mile project will widen the highway from just south of Kealakehe Parkway to just north of Kona International Airport to two lanes in each direction.
