Burglary suspects
Big Island police are requesting the public’s help in identifying two suspects caught on video surveillance in a Hilo burglary reported on December 15, 2010.
Detectives are investigating the burglary that occurred at Lagoon Center in Hilo in which electronic equipment and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was reportedly taken.
The complex’s surveillance system captured images of two male suspects entering the condominium and subsequently leaving in what appears to be a grey compact sedan with a light colored hood.
One suspect is described as approximately 5’ 10” to 6’2” tall, fair skinned possibly in early to mid twenties, slim to medium build, and having light colored short hair.
The second is described as approximately 5’ 6” to 5’10” tall, fair skinned possibly in early to mid twenties, slim to medium build, and having dark colored short hair.
Police ask that anyone who may know the identities of either suspect in the surveillance photos call Detective Paul M. Fukuda of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at 961-2381.
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
