Tropical Fruits Program at Kona library (Jan. 25)

WHEN: 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Kailua Kona Public Library

Ken Love, “Fruit Hunter and Agricultural Activist” will present a program sponsored by Friends of the Libraries, Kona.

Love, president of the statewide Hawaii Tropical Fruit Growers, will speak about growing unusual “ultra exotic” tropical fruit that can be grown locally, give tips on how to tell if what you buy is locally grown, as well as discussing the importance of buying local produce and supporting “local only” farmers markets.

This program is offered free to the public.
