Video by David Corrigan | Big Island Video News

From the science of underground magma to the wonders of space students spent Saturday (Jan 22) at the University of Hawaii at Hilo for a day of science and space at the Astronaut Ellison Onizuka Science Day.

The annual event for students in 4th-12th grades featured interactive workshops and presentations to honor the anniversary of Astronaut Ellison Onizuka’s first flight into space aboard shuttle Discovery, STS 51-C, which launched on January 24, 1985.
