The game between the two East Hawaii Warriors was a rematch well worth waiting for on Friday (Oct 8). The Lady Warriors of Waiakea played host to a full house of fans as they took on the Lady Warriors of Kamehameha-Hawaii. A different line-up for Waiakea in the first set threw Kamehameha off their stride as they went down 25-14.
Kamehameha came roaring back in the second game, making some adjustments and taking the set 25-16. Both teams fought hard in the third set, exchanging leads a few times before Waiakea finally took it 25-21.
The fourth set was a nail-biter, with the lead tossing back and forth, sparking roars of enthusiasm from the crowd. Waiakea was eventually able to claim a Senior Night victory when they won 26-24.
In Junior Varisty action, Kamehameha took the game 25-15, 25-15.
