MEDIA RELEASE
The University of Hawaii at Hilo women’s soccer program beat Chaminade University 3-0 in a Pacific West Conference match on the St. Louis High School field in Honolulu, Hawaii.
” We played well today and generated more scoring opportunities,” said UHH head coach Marc Miranda.
The Vulcans are 4-5-1 overall and 3-4 in the PacWest while the Silverswords are 2-5 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
Lauren Minami and Lindsey Poulsen recorded unassisted goals for the Vulcans while Dayneen Moriwaki turned Lynne DuPont’s through ball into the Vulcans third score.
Continuing their aggressive play, the Vulcans out-gunned the Silverswords 26-6 with 11 shots on goal but played a rather clean game with only six Vulcan fouls called.
