MEDIA RELEASE
The University of Hawaii at Hilo pumped in four second half goals to seal a 6-0 Pacific West Conference men’s soccer win over Chaminade University on the St. Louis High School field in Honolulu, Hawaii.
“The boys did very well,” said UHH head coach Bryan Green. “It was nice to see that offensive output. We did have better possession.
“After the first goal, we got the momentum and kept it. We kept going.”
The Vulcans are 4-4-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the PacWest while the Silverswords are 1-5 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
Drew Geis turned in a hat trick with goals at the 24.29 mark in the first half and two more in the second half. Gabe Kallen-Brown, Gene Okamura and Jose Vasquez also tallied goals while Go Eto picked up pair of assists. Cameron Castillo and Okamura were also credited with assists.
The Vulcans out shot the Silverswords 19-9 which included an 11-3 shot on goal advantage.
