Book Club meets at Kailua-Kona Library (June 15)

MEDIA RELEASE

The Kailua Kona Library Book Club meets 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15 on the library lanai.

Jamie Ford’s novel “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” set in Seattle during World War II, is a story of the tribulations of Asian peoples during the time of Japanese internment, and even of the Seattle jazz scene of that time. It tells the story of an innocent passion that crosses racial barriers – and then, of the whole life of a man who forsook the girl he loved.

Join us for a lively discussion and light refreshments. New members are welcome.

The Book Club will meet in July to discuss “Peony in Love” by Lisa See.
