The DOT concludes its series of statewide public informational meetings Thursday, May 20 in Kona to discuss and solicit comments on the Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for Federal Fiscal Years 2011 – 2014.
Public comments will help guide the finalization of the STIP. The STIP is a four-year programming implementation document that identifies State and County transportation projects to be funded, in part, with Federal Highway and Transit funds. The state Department of Transportation (DOT) will be holding statewide public informational meetings to discuss and solicit comments on the Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for Federal Fiscal Years 2011–2014 (+2 Informative Years).
The department encourages participation in these meetings, as comments received will help to guide the finalization of the STIP. The STIP is a four-year programming implementation document that identifies State and County transportation projects to be funded, in part, with Federal Highway and Transit funds.
The final meeting is 6 p.m. Thursday, May 20 in the Konawaena High School cafeteria.
