Pitcher Amber Waracka and pitcher/designated/flex player Christina Pedroza are first-team all-Pacific West Conference Softball Team selections as voted upon by the PacWest Coaches in an announcement made by the PacWest Conference Office today.

Earning second-team recognition are centerfielder Sierra Green and third-baseman Amanda Tellez.

Waracka highlighted her season as a 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA National Pitcher of the Week (March 8-14). During that span, the sophomore won all five games she appeared in allowing no runs, 11 hits and just eight walks over 28.2 innings of work, as the Vulcans finished the week with a perfect 8-0 record. She limited her opponents to a miniscule .118 batting average on the week, while striking out 31 of them. That run included a no-hitter against Dominican (CA), a one-hitter vs. Dominican (CA) and a two-hitter against Notre Dame De Namur. Waracka notched four complete game shutouts and finished with a 0.00 ERA.

She completed the regular season with a 17-7 record and 1.83 ERA (third in PWC) with 149.0 innings pitched, 122 strikeouts (third in PWC) and 62 walks.

Pedroza earned recognition as the first-team flex selection. She batted .214 with an RBI and a homerun. On the mound, she was 8-4 with 2.52 EAR, 49 strikeouts and 19 walks.
Green batted .411 (seventh in PWC) as lead-off hitter. She started 46 of 48 games played in with a .503 slugging percentage and .442 onbase percentage. She recorded seven walks, four strikeouts, eight doubles, two triples, a homerun and 11 RBI. On the base path, she was successful on 16 of 18 attempts.

A defensive corner stone at third base, Tellez committed just five errors in 109 attempts for a .956 fielding percentage. She batted .272 with three doubles, a home run and 13 RBI.
