Chamber debuts online auction fundraiser

MEDIA RELEASE

Point, click and bid for a wide variety of local services and merchandise from the convenience of your desktop at Bid for Hawaii.

It’s the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural online auction that supports chamber programs and Big Island businesses.

The armchair bidding is open through Dec. 7 and new donated items come online daily at www.bidforhawaii.cmarket.com

“Buy your holiday gifts online, support the Chamber and also support our local businesses,” said Vivian Landrum, CEO/president of KKCC, which tallies 550 members. “Bid for Hawaii offers local products and services, along with some unique, hard-to-find specialty items — perfect for that person on your shopping list who has everything. With our local economy struggling, now more than ever we need to shop, dine and buy local.”

The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce provides leadership and advocacy for a successful business environment in West Hawaii. The result of KKCC’s work is a community of choice as reflected in the quality of life, business and individual opportunity and manifest respect for culture and natural resources.
