The Federal Highway Administration, with the state Department of Transportation and the county, announces a public hearing to present the final Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Ane Keohokalole Mid-Level Highway project and to receive oral and written public testimony.

The project consists of the development of a new regional roadway link and utility corridor connecting Palani Road to the south and Hina Lani Street to the north (“proposed highway”), widening of Palani Road to provide additional vehicular lanes and a utility corridor between Henry Street and Queen Kaahumanu Highway (“proposed Palani Road widening”), and associated improvements within existing right-of-ways.

Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Location: Kealakehe High School, Kailua-Kona

An open house format without a formal presentation will be used to conduct this public hearing.
