UH-Hilo accepting applications for M.Ed. program

MEDIA RELEASE

The Education Department at the University of Hawaii at Hilo has extended the application deadline for its fifth Master of Education Cohort to Nov. 15.

The new cohort is for the spring 2010 semester.

The Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) fosters professional growth and renewal of educators who currently teach in public and private schools.

The program enrolls educators from across the state, enabling them to analyze and apply current initiatives including reform movements, educational technology, and methods of addressing the needs of Hawaii’s diverse student populations.

The cohort program requires five semesters and two summers to complete, with courses offered on Wednesday evenings and special summer sessions.

For information about the M.Ed. and other Teacher Education programs, contact department advisor Terry Reveira at (808) 974-7748, or treveira@hawaii.edu
